If you get an error message in Retain as soon as you try to start the application, before any screen except the splash screen has appeared, then its is possible that the Retain application configuration files have become corrupted. You should try renaming s2_print.ini and retain.cfg.

These files can typically be found in the following locations:

s2_print.ini
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Retain International\Retain Wallchart\v2

retain.cfg
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Retain International\Retain Wallchart\v2
