Non-Enterprise
This signifies that you have specified a start or end date for that resource outside the current date range of the screen. This is to remind you that that person is not available for this time period.
Enterprise
In Retain Enterprise resources do not have start and end dates as such, they have diaries. If a resource has a diary with no working time for the period in question, and if you have checked the 'mark non-working regions' checkbox in the Display Diary settings, then that period against that resource will be displayed with cross-hatching.
