Check that you are in edit mode. The default password is 'abc'.

You may have been specified in Retain Manager as a 'View Only' user.
Planner, Client-Server, Enterprise
If you are using Client-Server or Enterprise then you should talk to your administrator as the user you log in to Retain as may not have the necessary functional or security access.
