What is the difference between rtn and rdb files? [Pl, St, Nts, DBI, CS]

The .rdb (Retain DataBase configuration) file is associated with the different database files or tables. It also holds various defaults for the database – e.g. colour codes, charge rates, day length etc. An .rtn (Retain Notebook) file can be thought of as a view on the database. You can have many .rtn files associated with the retain data. You can even open the same .rtn file against different data sources.
