If you get this error message when you first try to create an .rdb file against your new database then there is a good chance it is because you haven't run the database table creation script - assuming your Retain Server is running, you have created the database, but you have not actually created the tables that Retain needs within the database. If you have run the table creation script, then you should ensure that you have run it against the correct database (if you are using Microsoft Query Analyser it is quite easy to run scripts against the Master database by mistake). Ensure that the dropdown at the top of Query Analyser is set to the database you have created for Retain.
